The adventure playground in Hasliberg Bidmi was created after the latest book by Susanna Schmid-Germann: Muggenstutz – Die Verwandlung der Vergessenen. We were allowed to read the story of the now legendary “Muggenstutz” early on and, together with the Meiringen-Hasliberg mountain railways and the author, have developed a playground where the events from the book can be experienced up close. After a long wait for approval, the playground could be opened in 2022 at the same time as the book launch.
In an exemplary way, cooperation among local partners and family cohesion are combined with storytelling and thus become the key to tourism success. In the eight Muggenstutz books to date, many locations and names of the region can be found, and conversely, themed trails have been created from the books in close cooperation with the mountain railways. As a result, the dwarf Muggenstutz and his adventures are known far beyond the Haslital.
