“Tourist information is the shop window into the region and continues to be in vogue in this day and age,” the tourism managers of Nordeifel Tourismus GmbH are certain.
The “i” in tourist information takes on a new role, because tourist information is an important building block in the successful communication and visitor guidance of living and experience areas. Through sophisticated touch points, they increase the visibility and experienceability of the offers, provide orientation and can bundle the often scattered offers. In this way, the TI contributes to connecting the diverse municipalities of a destination and strengthening their profiles at the same time.
With the project outline “Tourist Information of the Future in the Northern Eifel”, the potential is to be used and the 12 tourist information centres in the Northern Eifel are to be made fit for the future.
Erlebnisplan Deutschland was allowed to lead the project and, together with our partner BTE Mainz, develop tailored responses to a wide range of needs. Through an integrative process with all partner municipalities, a holistic concept manual was created that not only reveals gaps and experience potentials, but also translates these into concrete solution and design ideas in order to make people look for more Eifel!
