The Bernina Express (BEX) runs from Chur to Tirano along the UNESCO World Heritage route. A successful tourist product that celebrated its 50^th anniversary in 2023 and was launched with great foresight by the Rhaetian Railway. With almost 100% capacity utilisation, the BEX transports travellers from all over the world past glaciers to the palm trees.

The Alp Grüm station was upgraded after being used as a construction site transshipment centre and rebuilt to meet the needs of BEX guests and other user groups. More space for the restaurant was created by adding a storage room and extending the terrace. The area was supplemented with a photo spot and suitable seating as close to nature as possible. Finally, the Alpine herb garden has been added to the range of offerings and was glazed in collaboration with Raselli and Bernina Glaciers.

The 10-minute stop with a view of the Puschlav and the Palü glacier is a highlight for long-distance travellers and train spotters.
