The extraordinary natural beauty of the Devil’s Gorge adventure area, the decades-long tradition as an excursion destination and environmental education centre, the success of the ‘pilot project’ dinosaur park – all suggested that the Devil’s Gorge site should be further developed into a tourist hotspot of supra-regional importance in harmony with nature. Erlebnisplan Deutschland managed and conceptualised the joint process and used the master plan to bring together all of the site’s adventure and themed worlds into a coherent overall concept. In addition to a viable operating concept for the individual experience modules and the planning of a visitor-focussed infrastructure, we also used spatial sketches and pathways to ensure the project was of a high quality in terms of ecological and economic sustainability.
