The Jonenbach stream in Rifferswil underwent extensive ecological revitalization between 2024 and 2025, creating not only valuable new habitats for animals and plants, but also an attractive local recreation area for the entire population. Building on an existing concept by WWF Zurich, erlebnisplan was responsible for specifying the measures, detailed planning, and production support along the newly created Tampelpfad trail. The aim of this knowledge transfer is to enable visitors to experience natural waterways firsthand and to clearly explain the benefits of these ecosystems for humans and nature.

During implementation, particular emphasis was placed on minimizing interference with the natural environment while at the same time creating an exciting adventure trail with a variety of educational elements for all age groups. Today, the trail invites groups and school classes in particular to actively explore and discover life along the stream. To support these voyages of discovery, a box of materials containing necessary utensils such as magnifying glasses, brushes, and containers is available for visitors to borrow.
