A place of national identity was bathed in new light: The numerous sensory impressions and symbolic references in the cave were to be further intensified by a new light staging, thus valorising the existing narrative potential. The primary goal of the project was to dramaturgically enhance the cave experience on site, once the place of activity of Saint Beatus and the starting point for Helvetic Christianisation. The measures, which were accompanied from the first sketch of ideas to production, were embedded in the current further developments, such as an optimisation of the gastronomic offer as well as a mediation and communication offensive.
