Spruce Tree Castle Zillertal Arena, Zell am Ziller, 2016

Spruce Tree Castle Zillertal Arena – towers that reach the sky...

There was once a time when people thought they could build towers to the heavens. On the mountain, this energy, imagination and innovative spirit seems ubiquitous. On the Rosenalm mountain pasture, high above Zell am Ziller, summer tales come true in July 2016. The Spruce Tree Castle grows here: a harmonious world of experiences, perfectly integrated into the alpine landscape thanks to its own Spruce Sprites story and ‘spruce gothic’ architectural style. From the spruce water, through the four adventure towers to the castle kitchen and builders’ cabin, the multiple-themed experience combines a magnificent castle tower with a lighthouse for tourists.

In a first step, Erlebnisplan wrote the story of the Spruce Spirits, the creators of the Spruce Tree Castle, and developed the concept jointly with Frank Dittmann Architects. Together with the Zeller Mountain Railways of Zillertal Arena, Erlebnisplan then designed, planned and implemented the facility along with its adventure formats.

And what do the Spruce Sprits and Spruce Tree Castle wish for the most? For a worthy lord of the castle! By playing an exciting castle game, guests, be they children or ‘kids at heart’, can crown themselves as Spruce Prince or Princess.
